OVERVIEW OF VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Little League Mandated Background Check
Annually Northwestern Little League must complete a background check through JDP. Once you complete the volunteer registration process online, you will receive an email from us that will include a link for you to input your own information in the JDP system.
State Mandated Background CheckIn addition to the annual background check mandated by Little League, Pennsylvania State Law mandates that all individuals having repetitive contact with children have the following clearances:
- criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police
- Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services, and
- fingerprint based federal criminal history (FBI) submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police if the position the volunteer is applying for is a paid position; and the volunteer has lived outside the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the last 10 years
